FAQs

  • That’s okay. Recovery coaches meet you where you’re at on your recovery journey. We will work at a pace that’s right for you and find a way to meet your needs.

  • Lapses and relapses are a natural part of recovery. Not everyone may experience them, and some people may have many, every journey will look different. A recovery coach can help you get back on track and solidify any areas that need extra support.

  • Yes.* I will not share or discuss any information outside of our session. If you would like me to communicate with your treatment team to form a multidisciplinary approach I can, but I will only discuss what you have explicitly approved me to.

*I am still bound by QLD mandatory reporting requirements and should these be violated (e.g., a minor is at risk of sexual abuse or harm) I am bound by the law to report this to the relevant authorities.

  • This is one of the most vulnerable populations for eating disorders and disordered eating. I have both a blue and yellow card certification, and am approved to work with children under the age of 18.

  • No. As recovery coaching is a non-clinical service, you don’t need a referral from your GP.

  • No. I work with clients of all presentations. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to eating disorder recovery, and often one eating disorder diagnosis may morph into another. I will work with you to overcome any challenges you face no matter what they look like.
